Tisha B'Av תשעה ב'אב
Tisha B'Av (the ninth of Av), is a day of mourning commemorating the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple and other tragic moments in the history of the Jewish people.
This year, the observance of Tisha B’Av begins on Saturday night, August 13, 2016 and continues until nightfall on Sunday night.
At Temple Beth Abraham we will hold an evening service and chant together the book of Lamentations (Eicha).
Ma’ariv and Havdalah service - 8:30pm on August 13 (fast starts at 7:47 pm).
