Daily MinyanOne of the services of which Temple Beth Abraham is most proud, is our daily minyan, which meets each evening at 7:30 p.m. (except for Friday and Saturday evenings). Daily prayer has, for centuries, been the Jews' connection to God in the midst of relentless diversions and hectic lives. Three times each day, religious Jews would stop whatever they were doing to offer praise, petition and thanksgiving to the Almighty. This great tradition of formal daily prayer continues today in synagogues and communities around the world. Here at Temple Beth Abraham, we honor that tradition by gathering once each day to open ourselves to the luminous love light of the One. Our daily minyan serves another purpose as well. As many of our congregants have lost loved ones, our daily minyan affords them the opportunity to say kaddish during the first year after death and on the yartzeit of their loved one's death. Participating in our daily minyan in an ongoing fashion is part of our responsibilities to our friends and to ourselves. In just 20-30 minutes, each night, we are able to perform one of the greatest mitzvot while nourishing our souls. Please call the Temple Office if you would like to volunteer to be part of the monthly Minyan participation program, or just come and pray at 7:30. January's Minyan Calendar is available. February's Minyan Calendar is available. March's Minyan Calendar is available. April's Minyan Calendar is available. Future months will be published here once they are available.
